Write a new SOP with AI

Give AI a concrete procedure brief, inspect its draft, and add it to the library deliberately.

Cloopp / Write a new SOP with AI
Write a new SOP with AIActual Cloopp screen · Sample workspace

Before you start

  • Sign in as the workspace owner or an admin. Read-only members cannot change workspace content.
  • Have AI credits available. Review the proposed result before applying changes.
  • Supply the actual workflow, tools and approval conditions. AI cannot verify private company facts.

Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Step 1

    Open New SOP

Select New SOP in the workspace top bar. Choose the department that should own the procedure.

  2. Step 2

    Write a specific brief

Describe the task, intended reader, prerequisites, ordered actions and success checks. Include exceptions or restrictions instead of just naming a topic.

  3. Step 3

Select Write with AI and inspect the draft

Read Draft ready for review, the summary, proposed folder, step list and counts of prerequisites and checks. If the instructions are wrong, use Back and revise the brief; this dialog does not offer the same full inline editor as bulk import.

  4. Step 4

    Add only an acceptable draft

Select Add to library when the draft is acceptable. It opens as an SOP; use Edit SOP for detailed adjustments to its fields, then Save changes. If detailed editing before approval is essential, use the document/pasted-text import review instead.

Practical example

A useful procedure brief

“Write our weekly client report SOP for account managers: collect Monday metrics from GA4, compare to the agreed targets, get the lead’s approval, and send the report by Tuesday. Do not invent performance targets.”

Common issues and fixes

The draft uses the wrong folder
After adding an acceptable draft, adjust Department and Folder through Edit SOP. Use bulk import review if you must edit placement before approval.
I want to write without spending credits
Use Start blank, then Edit SOP. Manual authoring does not use AI credits.

What success looks like

An approved AI-assisted procedure with clear ownership and checks, not a generic topic summary.
