Scan a whole folder

Check a local or synced folder for duplicates and unsuitable files before spending time organizing it.

Before you start

Sign in as the workspace owner or an admin. Read-only members cannot change workspace content.
Use a computer for whole-folder selection. On phones, select individual files from the file picker.

Step 1
Open the folder picker
Select Upload documents, then Scan a whole folder from this device. A locally synced Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive folder can be selected like any other local folder.
Step 2
Select a focused folder
Choose only material intended for this workspace. The scan reads filenames and file information to flag duplicates, unclear names and unsupported types; it does not know your confidentiality policy.
Step 3
Review the scan report
Inspect the counts and individual files. Exclude duplicates or unsuitable sources, and resolve ambiguous names. Keep no more than 50 ready files in an import batch.
Step 4
Organize and approve the drafts
Select Organize N files, wait for draft creation, then inspect full SOP contents and placement. Approve only the drafts you want in the searchable library.

Practical example

Scan a small folder containing the current policies and old revisions. Exclude old or duplicate versions before AI creates contradictory procedures.

The folder contains hundreds of files: Split it into smaller task or department batches. Do not assume every file is selected for import when the ready count exceeds the limit.
I want a direct Dropbox connection: Current folder scanning supports locally synced Dropbox or OneDrive folders. It is not a direct account connection to those services.

The import contains useful current sources rather than a blind copy of an entire drive.
